Birding in Winter Video

Birding in winter can be a fun way to pass the colder months of the year. The leaves have dropped, so it is easier to see the birds and many species have headed south to warmer climates making it easier to identify those that remain because there are less options. In this video we spend some time appreciating the birds eating at our backyard feeder before heading out to Kensington Metro Park to do some birding. Kensington has about 4,500 acres of varied habitat for birds and other wildlife. As usual, all the music in this video are original songs by Aspen Jacobsen.

PS Thanks so much to my buddy Joe that helped identify the female red-winged blackbird. I wasn't expecting her and almost misidentified the bird as a sparrow.
