The third weekend of October we headed to the tip of Michigan's Thumb to Port Crescent State Park on Lake Huron for some fall camping, hiking and filming for a new camping video with music by Aspen.
The park is divided by the Pinnebog River into an eastern half with the campground and a western half day use area. We arrived in our Yellow Winnebago Minnie Drop Friday afternoon. My wife Stephanie, son Bryce and dog Banjo really enjoyed this awesome park. The campground is right on Lake Huron's Saginaw Bay, which would be awesome in the spring or summer. But the autumn colors and hiking trails of this park shouldn't be missed either. They have a unique oak forest that lies between the mouth of the river and the old channel which was really cool to hike through. We're definitely going back here!!
